Trial IT Apprenticeship

The interest in training in the IT industry has risen tremendously in recent years due to the increasing digitialized work environment and the massive success of numerous digital companies such as Alphabet Inc. (Google), Amazon and YouTube. Many young people have recognized that digitalisation has opened up many opportunities in the world of work. Opportunities and possibilities that previous generations lacked.

Unsuprisingly, apprenticeships for computer scientists and in the IT sector are in great demand in Switzerland. According to the Federal Statistical Office of Switzerland, more than 2000 students take up apprenticeships as computer scientists. The profession as a computer scientist is promising, as the demand for qualified IT specialists is high and the labour market in the sector is growing increasingly. If you are looking for prospects with a varied job selection, the IT sector is just right for you, but the IT sector is not for everyone. Logical-abstract thinking ability, creativity in the search for solutions, quick comprehension, spatial imagination, pronounced ability to concentrate, systematic way of working and good knowledge of English are prerequisites for entering computer science training.

To give young people the opportunity to find out whether the IT industry really appeals to them and matches their strengths and capabilities, many companies offer trial apprenticeships.

The promotion of young talent is also an important concern of Wision Tech AG and therefore the company also offers trial apprenticeships. In the last 3-day trial apprenticeship, which was held in March, the company offered young people an insight into the basics of the IT world and the tasks of a prospective IT apprentice.  The program of the trial apprenticeship was as follows.

Thanks to the trial apprenticeship at Wision Tech AG, the students were able to decide for themselves whether the IT industry is the right choice for education or not.
